Published in July 2014 by Cinnamon Press, Atlantic is available now.
This is my most intimate collection of poetry, based not upon the history of science (as with Darwin’s Microscope,) nor the history of medicine (as with Opera di Cera,) but upon personal history. I wrote the first poems for Atlantic as I was putting the finishing touches on Darwin’s Microscope in 2007. Developed over the past eight years, it is a book of mourning and of transformation.
The cover illustration is by Henrike Scholten, a skilled Dutch artist and friend whose work I’m honoured to have gracing the book.
