For me what made this workshop enjoyable was the readiness of the participants to try new things and to share their rough drafts – which were all very impressive. I also thought it was great having 2 younger people there, whose imagination and straightforward approach were inspiring. Thanks Kelley, Melanie and all involved!

I just read your poem in the October 2 issue of Science, and loved it. I can’t wait to read Darwin’s Microscope. Will it be published in the US anytime soon?

Are you still in Bulgaria? (I note the current date of the post, but the 3-month-back date of the diary.) If so, you must try to find, in the park near Nevsky Church (and across from the University), the amazing bagpiper who plays there most days. Also, I can give some restaurant recommendations, if you like! I spent about 3 weeks in Bulgaria last summer, about half of it in Sofia. I would go back in a heartbeat…

I often peek at your blog. I wasn’t aware of the Human Genre Project until I read your comments about it. It interested me very much and I really liked ‘Jargon’, so decided to give it a whirl and submitted some poems.
